    Angry Grey Matters - Disappointed!

This thread is only for aspects of 2.10 Grey Matters that you feel disappointed with. We believe that people have the right to enjoy Fringe whilst not necessarily loving everything about a particular episode.

There is, of course, a line between flaming, bashing and abuse. These things we won't tolerate. But you ARE, of course, allowed to say if you were disappointed by certain aspects and explain your reasons why in a constructive and mature way.

I don't like the title of the episode.

The only disappointment about the episode (which I still gave a 10) is that I knew Dr. Paris was William Bell from the very start and I like to be surprised more often.

Funny you should say it, but that was precisely why I only gave this episode a nine. It was a bit more predictable than I'm used to seeing in Fringe and I also like to be surprised. Although I did not guess the Dr. Paris = William Bell, I did know that it was Walter's brain that they had embedded in the other brains almost from the beginning of the show. Many of the other events such as removal of the tracking device for instance, were quite predictable. In fact, when Walter sent Astrid out to the lab, it was almost like he did it on purpose; similar to him sending Peter out to get the silver foil in the Arrival.

It seemed a little too easy to tell exactly what was going to happen next and that was a bit bothersome, but otherwise it was a fantastic episode.

Sucks, my first post here is going into the disappointed thread. I was disappointed however that the Hybrid (Roger R. Cross) was killed off, especially so abruptly. I know he was just putting out security guards before, but he was doing it very proficiently, and he was one of the few villains that succeeded for an episode, and I felt he deserved a longer lifespan on the show, and a better exit. At least we've come out with a solid villain, but it would be nice to have an intimidating mental force, Newton, along with this guy as a more physical, proficient force.

Also strange he dies when they start showing 24 previews. Curtis Manning his character on 24 was also killed by the lead.

Yeah if you read the spoilers and knew that Nimoy is in the episode ofcourse you would suspect that.
That's not Fringe's fault. That's your fault who read the spoilers.
Don't blame Fringe if you like to get spoiled.

I don't think they were saying that they read the spoilers. I think they were saying that from the first time Paris was mentioned in the show, they just had a feeling, "Oh, William Bell is Dr. Paris." I'm sorry, please correct me if I'm wrong, but that's just how I took it.

They knew that because they read the spoilers and know that Nimoy will be in this episode.
If they didn't, they couldn't have guessed that a man who we hear for a first time (Paris) is Bell.
People stop complain and don't read the spoilers if you like surprises!

Again, they didn't say that they read the spoilers. And sure they could have guessed, I mean, I do that all the time. I think we all do that, we make predictions as to what's going to happen. And sometimes, if you're like me (and I know I am ), the predictions just come out of thin air. But that's okay, because predictions don't always have to be right.

If someone happens to predict something, and it ends up coming true, it doesn't necessarily mean that they read the spoilers. They were just saying that it was very obvious to them who Dr. Paris was, without having to read any spoilers or anything.
