Please don't get me wrong, character driven stories are involving and important, what the main issue is for me is Fringe tends to lend itself more strongly to a serialized approach. Season 1 achieved a unique balance by 'linking' the stand-alones to the show's mythology without destroying the individuality of those episodes. The stories and characterizations satisfied in a way that is commonly absent nowadays in a genre-based series.

Final rant [to the producers]: If a wheel aint broke why fix it? Is it so hard to return to the original narrative structure Season 1 presented us with? I'm not suggesting overpower the series with mythology just simply re-establish the almost perfect mix between serial and procedural, absorbing characterization, narrative continuity and fluidity, excitement, humor, suspense and mystery that originally made Fringe one of the best sci-fi shows to play on air.

To me, there is more to fringe than Massive Dynamic and ZFT. why can't the writers explore other storylines? TV shows do it all the time! They always bring new characters, new plotlines. The show would be pretty boring if they kept on rehashing the same storylines every single season.

I know some people have a problem with the peter storyline since its been drilled into our heads already but I am going to pray that there is more to this like peter being the cause of it all or something of that nature.
