Do we even know they were his glasses? Maybe he was having a nostalgic moment of things from his own past, but do you think they could have been Bell's glasses...and that's why he was grinning so much when he saw his reflection? That he saw Bell in himself in a way?

Well I did actually think that - that the scene reminded me something about Bell... Dunno, maybe he has the same type of glasses, but as I watched Walter I kinda recognized Bell in it... I think for sure that scene was giving us some information, but about what?
Walter: My dear, there is much that is unexplained. Until it is.

he did look like the young nazi-supporter guy in the previous episode.

well, they're both W.B.: william bell, walter bishop. it must mean something more.

Probably someone has thought of this before...but what if the main villain is Alter-Walter, trying to get Peter back to his own universe?

I think there was a large emphasis on glasses in that episode as symbolism for changing the way you see something. After all the episode called for Olivia regaining her ability to see things from the alternate universe.

I'm sure this is something that's been discussed a bajillion times on here, but in reference to the mention earlier in this thread about the possibility of Bell being Alter-Walter, they do have the same initials. Again, probably something people noticed at the beginning of the show, but it is something they could work if they ever decided they wanted to.

When first seeing that scene I thought they were Bell's glasses and Walter was just having some sort of a nostalgic moment. But you never know with Fringe!
