I've been waiting for an episode that would 'set the hook', so to speak, and this one might just have done it. I enjoyed the reveal of the 'Observer' and overall, this episode seemed to have more drama. Cool backstory about Walter and Peter's near death experience/ rescue, too.

Can't really give this a 10 without seeing the rest of the series yet but I certainly think it's the best one yet, as it had a great mix of a lot of different elements and just, I don't know, really hooked me into the series: like the foot's steadily getting pressed down on the accelerator now. Hopefully the rest of the series will run along at a similar speed and even pick up near the end.
But The Arrival deserves a very solid 9, if only for giving us the fantasticly odd Observer!

I guess this episode deserves a solid 8!!! Best Fringe episode till now!!

I agree with you guys; gave it a 9 because I've not seen all the episodes yet, but definately the best so far- loved it!
