I found it hard to rate because it was just laying the groundwork for next week and basically everything that we saw could have been guessed by the preview.

I think this epi and the next should be rated together.

I was also going to retrospectively rate both parts as a whole once they aired in their entirety.

That being said, I have a feeling that my verdict will lie in the 9-10 range.

    Warning!minor spoilers ahead!

Jesus Christ! That episode was bad. I hoped Nick Lane, pyrokinetic girl (I don't remember her name) and James Heath to be more involved in this episode. They didn't get a chance to use their amazing abilities against an alternate law enforcement division! They all started dying right after they crossed over to the alternate universe. Were they intended to be just transporters of Olivia and Walter? They were meant to fight as soldiers in a war against the alternate universe. Whoever came up with this episode should've given these characters more active roles!

Soldiers die on the front line. It's also been made clear that Olivia was the strongest and that she is the one meant to be the guardian.

The last thing I want Fringe to turn into is some Marvel comics battle.
