Here's another more detailed trailer for it.

YouTube - Game Of Thrones - trailer

I love the 'A Song of Ice and Fire' books so I hope they'll be able to make something really good out of them. Recently fantasy really hasn't transferred on to TV that well e.g, Dresden Files, Sword of Truth/Legend of the Seeker (both of which are now cancelled) but HBO managed with True Blood so hopefully they'll do well with these.

AGoT looks pretty promising. We don't have Sky Atlantic (which is showing
it in the UK & Ireland), so I'll probably wait until the DVD comes out.

Wow, with Camelot, The Borgias, and A Game of Thrones all airing this month, I think this is going to be a great television season for me.

I'm just severely ticked off that I've waited a year for this show and then Murdoch pulls the rug out from under us by setting up SKY Atlantic and squirreling it away there instead of SKY 1.

Looks like I'll be finding it online or having to buy the S1 DVD blind. Damn you, Murdoch, you git!

Same goes for The Borgias, I hear, too. Another show I'd been looking forward to.

Did anyone watch this then? I liked it for the most part, there were some beautiful scenes/set/locations eg at the godswood, the wall although there was quite a lot of exposition, explaining who everyone is which because I've read the books I found a little tedious.

I watched this recently. It was pretty good.

I have previously read around the first quarter/third of the first book before forgetting about it, but I am vaguely aware of the storyline for later books.

I intend on following this series (which is, to my surprise, already renewed for a second season!) to its end.

    Winter is coming...

A Game of Thrones looks pretty nice, but "The Borgias" becoming a series?!! That's the best piece of news I got recently!!!!

Ive not read the books but have seen enough in the opening two episodes to want to read them, especailly when there is a week to wait until the next episode.

Im very intrigued as to what the wall is keeping out especially if nothing has happened for over a thousand years , also it threw me a little when i saw the queen with her brother! Wasnt expecting that

I thought the second episode was pretty good they're still sticking to the book pretty well. I confess I didn't really warm to Tyrion as much as I'd hoped in the first episode (he's one of my favorite characters in the books), but he was better this episode. I also loved the way the titles changed to show where the Dothraki were this episode, awesome, if they keep doing that throughout the season it'll be pretty cool.
