Dabbling In Fringe Science
Was no one else disappointed by trying to figure out how the midget/homeless guy got the box down the tracks? I mean WTF? If he got on a train what pushed him off? And if not, why did he run down the tracks with the box? Why not just leave the box in the station? Other than the plot specific reason of having Bolivia save Peter, I can't see a reason...
Or am I posting in the wrong thread here?
The issue with the homeless man and the box is a little weird. Presume that he decided to steal the box (as Newton expected), he drops to the tracks and walks through the tunnel. At some point he stops and breaks open the box. He's still close enough to the platform that the people there are affected as much as he. The next bit is the odd one: he apparently takes the box and continues to walk a little further in a daze, since when the emergency personnel and Fringies show up, they are able to stand on the platform and tend the victims there without being injured themselves. (Either that or the component loses power over time.)
