    9. While I loved "Olivia", this episode felt like Old School Fringe.

Plus, Newton is an awesome bad guy and I think he rocked in this episode. Not to mention Peter's S3 storyline seems to be the most interesting one he's had so far.

Newton is my favorite villain and he needs to stay for as long as possible.

Peter's story line looks very promising and I expect it to be my favorite on the show, but we'll see about that.

I'm looking forward Walter's story line this season, too. Massive Dynamic, the relationship with Peter, Astrid and Nina. I can't wait to see, how far S3 will take him.

I'm pretty sure that despite how it looks, Peter DOES suspect something is wrong with Olivia. He's very intuitive, and he cast a lot of suspicious looks at her during the episode. He can feel that something is way off, but he either doesn't want to acknowledge it, or is playing it close to the chest until he knows more.

So far, S3 Peter seems a bit like S1 Peter. He's distanced from Walter, There's a new mystery surrounding his background, and I suspect he'll seem more morally ambigious as the season continues.

I liked it better than last week, but ranked it lower because Olivia had so much more emotional power. Then I deducted an extra point for Walter being badly written. I can deal with farts and massage parlors, and maybe even bacon-flavored pudding, but trying to make the cow give chocolate milk was just stupid. His trepidation over Bell's will-reading was also overdone.

    So, 7.

    9. I really liked it, it was well balanced, used all the characters well and there were a few great twists at the end.

I gave it a 9. Any episode that involves Newton & the typewriter deserves that. I like Altlivia in the sense that she is doing what she was supposed to do. we were never meant to fall in love with her. The storyline needs the audience to not like Altlivia.

Walter getting hold of Massiv Dynamic means Altlivia's mission on him might be to unravel the technological developments made by our side through Bell.

Finally, the entire scenario of making the switch & letting peter go made sense after this episode.

So some new questions were raised & quite a lot were answered as well. All in all a very very good episode.

8 from me. I liked last weeks episode better.

I wanted to like Altlivia, for Peter's sake. Because I see his point in sharing a natural instinct. But she's making it really hard for me. Killing the deaf guy was murder and I don't think our Olivia would have done this.

I would like to see more of Newton. He's brilliant!

The father/son relationship of Peter and Walter I will miss. So much enjoyed it the last seasons.

I rated this episode a 6. It had some good moments to be sure.

What I didn't like, and what lead to me downgrading it somewhat, was the poor plotting.

We know that the plot was to get the Box into Peter's hands so he could start working on it.

But about half way through, the deaf guy brought the box to Olivia. At that point, she could have given the box to Peter and her mission would have been completed. But nooooo. Newtom gets it and leaves it in the subway platform to cause even more mayhem. Peter nearly ends up getting killed. Why? Simply because they had about 5 more minutes of screen time they had to fill.

I also give negative points for Olivia opening the door to Peter when she had a dead guy in her apartment. I ask you: if you had a dead guy in your apartment and someone knocks on your door, do you:

    A. Be quiet, don't answer it and hope they go away
    B. Drag the dead guy into the bathroom, invite the person in, make out with him for awhile and hope he never has to use the bathroom?

I don't know about you, but I'm going with A.

There's more I can say along these lines, but I've made my point.

That's exactly what I thought, too! It felt a little constructed to me. What was she going to tell him, if he wanted to use the bathroom? Sorry, lost the key or what? He could have kicked down the door for her...

Probably a 6. I would rate it higher but unfortunately I accidentally stumbled across a major spoiler a little while ago (Walter taking over Massive Dynamic). I think I would've liked it better had not all that intense wondering about the will been spoiled.

I thought a lot of elements were either overdone or poorly thought out. There was too many Walter gags, and I was extremely disappointed Altliv killed the deaf guy. That whole situation was ridiculous, I mean, 1) What if peter wanted to use the washroom, 2) They had to get up to leave, you're telling me that you won't notice a big pool of blood immediately, even if rushed... That being said, I did like the whole fringe science bit on a sound that can kill people
