has anyone given any thought that it might not be an 'A', it might be a compass?
The compass is part of the symbol of the freemasons, a stretch to be sure.
there's also a symbol known as the 'compass of Enoch' which is composed of 13 M's in a peculiar arrangment. Massive Dynamic anyone?
Both are stretchy but I wanted to posit an alternative theory.
A couple of people have speculated that it may be a compass but it hasn't gone muc further than that. Your notion is interesting - can you provide a screencap of some sort to help illustrate the compass of Enoch thing?

This is one of your best easteregg observations yet. Could it mean that the institution is Observer owned (or something along those lines, signifying that Walter was under constant watch whilst in St. Claire's)?

Do we know what the clue from "In Which We Meet Mr. Jones" was?
I've alreayd seen some speculation for the next episode, but as far as I know, unless the lights were a clue, no one has been able to actually find a good clue in "In Which We Meet Mr. Jones."
I think the clue was the Christmas Carol handout -hence the Christmas lights and Walter singing Christmas carols.
