And as shell-shocked and numb as me right now?![]()

I was just at Buffyfest in Boston this October (Obama was in the Hynes center with us). Met Charisma Carpenter, James Marsters, Nick Brendan, Amber Benson, Mercedes McNab, and Clare Kramer (it's been a while since they got that much of the cast in one place!).
In any case, the resounding sentiment among Buffy fans about the "Season 8" comics is cringing. They are generally hated by the Buffy purists (even though I do own them). They're just such a weird, and extreme departure from the series.
Most fans consider them ridiculous (and not in any good way). I've yet to meet a fan that likes the S8 comic storyline. It seems more of an experiment gone wrong.

I actually like the series. I might have gone off it if Joss wasn't at the helm, but I have faith in him, even if things went a mile or two over some shark-shaped things a couple of times (Giant rampaging Tibetan goddesses? Flying Buffy?)
I haven't read the last issue yet, but I'm really hoping that when I do, and then when I go back for a reread of the whole thing, everything will suddenly click and it'll make perfect sense and be the best season of Buffy ever...
Here's hoping.![]()
This Twilight business has turned me off it, especially after the revelation about who he is.![]()
Have got Season 4 and 5. It will take some time to read these both.
