    Olivia voicing her feelings. Eloquently.
Most times she left them unsaid and goes straight to questioning.

Haven't seen this one yet - roll on Tuesday! But from what I'm hearing it looks good. I am delighted to hear that Astrid and Olivia have a moment. I seem to have been waiting for that for so long. Up till now, Olivia's been quite removed from Astrid, imo, and I've often wished for some sign that they were friends. So I am so looking forward to this scene. And, please, can we have more of the same!

I remembered this too, and was immediately suspicious of the "misfiled" story. This is, to me, points to an intentional misdirect on the part of Nina and MD. They can say, "Oh, that? I don't know," while hiding the fact they've actually been using the technology. Meanwhile, the Fringe team can go on believing no one has cared one iota about the work for over 30 years. Either there's some serious retcon going on or this is not the last we've heard of reanimation or the early-series work on corpse interrogation.

Just a quick little move, but very bad-ass. I wondered if she was channeling AltLivia for a minute there, but we've seen Action!Olivia in the past, she's just been hiding for a while. Let's bring back the agent who jumps from rooftops onto fire escapes in pursuit of her suspects!

I took this serum thing to be different than reanimating. They weren't waking/bringing-back-to-life John Scott, they were just trying to extract information. Maybe I'm wrong

And yes - let's bring back Action!Olivia! I do think you're right though, in that she was channeling a little bit of Altlivia - she was also wearing a little bit of makeup in the beginning of the episode AND was in light pink. When have we ever seen Olivia wear a bright color like that??

Perhaps maybe it was the writers' commentary that she hadn't totally left the red universe behind... ergo, the red becoming pink (as she was often seen wearing blue in the AU)

Can't really expressed how impressed I am at how the writers handled this episode.

I am haunted by the final P/O scene. If you want to see how great the performances are, try just listening to the scenes i.e. the dialogue/audio, all that tension, voices on the verge of breaking...powerful acting!!

    My heart absolutely broke.

    Default Really Really Great Episode

This episode was SO well done it was almost shocking. All Fringe episodes are really good, but this one was really something.

The understated tones, the subtle but really powerful interactions between Olivia and Astrid and Olivia and Peter were just perfect. It was just symphonic!

All the actors and writers deserve big kudos for this one. The show just gets better and better!

I cannot wait until January 21st!!!

    Who can???
I totally agree with you...Fringe has its best season...The amazing cast gives us our best acting and the writers rock as always...There are these little contrastings;the sadness of P/O situation and laughter with Walter's quotes...Brilliant

As I remember Walter talking about the serum, he said it was not unlike what he and Bell (Belly) had worked on. However, Walter said he and Bell were trying to devise a method of interogating someone after death. So it is a tie-in with that scene with Nina and the dead John Scott in Massive Dynamics.

Nina is definitely hiding something. It seems to me that she has been since Fringe-day-one. That might be her &/or Bell's links to "The First People."
