Default Assasin and Significance of GGGR?

I did not see this topic posted here but when I re-watched this episode, I noticed the flip "phone" that the assassin answered from the Observers show green/green/green/red lights.

What does this mean? Was the assassin hypnotized to carry out orders?

Is this at all linked to the green/green/green/red lights we saw in episode 1.08 "The Equation"?

Green-green-green-red shows up several other times, not just as the hypnotic sequence. It was on Olivia's uncle's kayak in the Pilot, and shows up on the Observer's viewfinder in "The Arrival" and "August". In "The Arrival", it's on Mosley's cap. It's also appeared in odd places like the Subway stop in "Amber 31422". It's one of the things that gets listed in the "Clues and Easter Eggs" thread for each episode.

Let's put it this way -- whatever meaning may underlie the colors has not yet been explained.
