PreambleA spectre is haunting Fringe 'Shipping Community – the spectre of vagentism. All the powers of old Fringe 'Ships have entered into a holy alliance to exorcise this spectre: Benchwarmers and Walstrids, Francolivians and Bellinas, Harry Potter lovers and Nikitan fangirl spies.
Where is the 'Ships in opposition that has not been decried as Vagentist by its opponents? Where is the 'Ships that has not hurled back the branding reproach of Vagents, against the more advanced opposition 'Ships, as well as against its mainstream adversaries?
Two things result from this fact:
Vagentism is already acknowledged by the Fringe-Forumers to be itself a viable 'Ship .
It is high time that Vagents should openly, in the face of the whole Fringe community, publish their views, their aims, their tendencies, and meet this nursery tale of the Spectre of Vagents with a manifesto of the 'Ship itself.
To this end, Vagents of various nationalities have assembled on Forums supporting the TV show Fringe and sketched the following manifesto, to be published in the English language.
Chapter 1 – Peter and BoliviaPeter Bishop, born to Dr. Walter Bishop and Elizabeth Bishop in the Red Universe. He suffered from a fatal genetic disease, and did not have a normal childhood. Kept at home by his well meaning parents, he did not have any friends of his own age. At the age of seven, while vacationing with his family at their Lake Reiden cottage, he was abducted by an alternate version of his father. That Walter took Peter to his universe, the blue universe. The Blue Walter took Peter home and along with Blue Elizabeth, took Peter as their own. He first met Bolivia while on assignment with the Fringe science team to his own universe.
Bolivia Dunham is born to Marilyn Dunham. She joined Fringe Division in 2008. She is a gold medalist in marksmanship. Her teammates in the Fringe Division are Lincoln Lee and Charlie Francis. When the Secretary of Defense, Dr. Walter Bishop, convinced his son to come back from the Blue universe, she met him and engaged him in smalltalk a couple of times. Under a plan drafted by Secretary Bishop, she captured her alternate self and infiltrated the Blue attack commando when they drugged and kidnapped Peter Bishop.
After Bolivia successfully infiltrated the Fringe science team, she loyally carried out Secretary Bishop's orders. Meanwhile she also grew fond of her 'team', and recognized their dedication and value behind their works. She started questioning the Secretary's ideals, and started doubting whether all Blue universe people are evil and need to be destroyed. However, she still listened to orders because she was a soldier. In the end, while being ordered to get close to the Secretary's son, she grew intimate with him.
After dating for theree months, Peter Bishop suddenly received a call from an unknown person in the middle of the night. The Unknown caller blew Bolivia's cover. Mad with confusion, and probably from the radiation leaking out of his android phone, Peter savagely attacked his true love and threatened retaliation because she might have hurt his Olivia (Who, on all accounts, is a intense and grim faced woman who doesn't even give him the time of the day).
The Fringe division working around the clock to save their teammate, with Colonel Broyles sacrificing his life, was able to save Bolivia from the Blue universe.
Bolivia is back at work at the Fringe division, trying to use overwork to deny her pining for her love.
Peter, after being burned by his so called 'love', often find himself looking at the photobooth pictures he took with Bolivia.

Chapter 2 – The Fringe community and VagentsIn what relation do the Vagents stand to the Fringe community as a whole?
The Vagents is not a militant fangirl/boy sect designed to destroy the other Fringe 'Ships.
They have no interests separate and apart from those of the Fringe community as a whole.
They do not set up any sectarian principles of their own, by which to shape and mould the Fringe 'Shipping movement.
The Vagents are distinguished from the other Fringe Shippers by this only:
1.In the struggles of the Fringe community of the different countries, they point out and bring to the front a common interest of the entire Fringe Community: A viable 'Ship for their favorite fandom A strong and believable 'Ship that does not hinder plot development and fictional scientific progress.
2.In the various stages of development which the struggle of the 'Shippers against the naysayers has to pass through, they always and everywhere represent the interests of the movement as a whole.
The Vagents, therefore, are on the one hand, practically, the most advanced and resolute section of the Fringe fans of every country, that section which pushes forward all others; on the other hand, theoretically, they have over the great mass of the Fringe 'Shippers the advantage of clearly understanding the line of march, the conditions, and the ultimate general results of the Fringe 'Shipping movement.
The immediate aim of the Vagents is the same as that of all other Fringe 'Ships: formation of the Fringe fans who supports a relationship between two Fringe characters of their own choosing into a class, to overthrow of the naysayer supremacy.
In the case of Vagents, we support a long lasting, stable relationship between Peter and Bolivia based on mutual trust.
Chapter 3 – Bolivia and Vagent LiteratureThere are currently several different types of fanfictions featuring Bolivia. Sadly there is currently no true Vagent literature.
Bolivia is pure evil, there is a big show down between the two universes. Peter ends up with Blue Olivia, his 'true love'. Represenative story includes "Friends on the other Side" by InvaderMedras. The Vagents do not like these stories.
Bolivia is only doing her job as a soldier. There is no love between Peter/Bolivia. Bolivia's cover is blown, and she is captured and/or sent back. Represenative story includes "The Journey Home" by Fringedivision. The Vagents feel that this story is better than Bolivia ends up dead. But this is not a true Vagent literature. But rather a Benchwarmer fare.
Bolivia is having second thoughts about her mission. She does not have a relationship with Peter. Represenative Story include "Number Two" by Starlight77. The Vagents are relieved that no harm came to Bolivia, but are disappointed she doesn't love Peter.
Bolivia has a relationship with Lincoln Lee. Sometime she goes back to her universe unharmed, sometimes she ends up dead. Either way, in these stories, it sucks to be Bolivia. The author(s) is clearly trying to make Bolivia into a unwitting pawn who is misunderstood. The Vagents applaud their dedication to their 'Ship. But seriously, don't call us, we'll call you. Next! Represenative stories include "One Word and I could have lived" by FringeDivision2008.
Bolivia loves Peter, Peter is confused about which Olivia he likes. Bolivia is pregnant, crossing to the Blue universe, she dies after delivering their baby. Peter acts like a jerk. Represenative story includes Phase Two Initiated by Elialys. Sadly this type of story is more Vagent than the five listed above.
Unfinished Stories that has promise of a Vagent ending. No Comments
Future Vagent Stories should be coming to a fanfic community near you. Charge Vagents! For the 'Ship! Charge!
Chapter 4 – Position of the Vagents in Relation to the Various Exisiting Opposition Fringe 'Ships
Vagents everywhere support every 'Shipping movement against the naysayers and trolls.
Finally, they labour everywhere for the union and agreement of the popular Fringe 'Shipping community of all countries.
The Vagents disdain to conceal their views and aims. They openly declare that their ends can be attained only by the gradual overthrow of all existing obstacles. Let the naysaying classes tremble at a Vagentistic revolution. The Fringe community have nothing to lose but their chains. The Vagents have a TV relationship to win.
Vagents of All Countries, Unite!
