I liked Victopher also but I'm not certain you could say that the same principle applies in a scientific manner. Bell's manifestation in Olivia borders more on the mystical than scientific. Though if you're speaking of the dramatic principle, then yes that principle is the same.

what's wrong with that? I do think it is meant to be funny, and I expect the next episode to be intentionally hilarious (even more with Peter's angry reaction).

There have only been a few brief amusing moments ever since Walter used the word 'vagenda'. And that was spectacular

Seems like I'm in the minority (when did that ever stop me? ), but I didn't actually think the voice was done all that well. It sounded odd and unnatural, as though Anna was having to strain to make the right notes/tone.

But in the context of the episode I don't think it will hurt. If it sounds strained, odd or unnatural that's kind of logical within the concept of the soul transfer and can be put down to the fact that it's an unnatural thing to happen to a person anyway.

I do have to say though that at a personal level, I think it will begin to grate very quickly for me.

Maybe it's a case of Bell wanting everyone to know he's back.

Yeah, he needed the crazy accent 'cause simply saying, "Hi, it's me, Bell, I'm back" would be so totally mainstream.

Well, how easily would Peter pick up on it otherwise?

It could also be a case of Olivia's vocal cords simply reflecting the voice that's speaking in her head.

That's basically how I see it. The voice is annoying, BUT as you say, it is logical that her voice would sound strained and unnatural because Bell is not in his own body. He may be able to use his own voice well, but trying to use Olivia's vocal organs would be entirely new to him, and his voice would sound strained and unnatural.

I will guess that as Bell becomes more accustomed to Olivia's body, his voice will begin to sound less strained and more natural, and thus less annoying.
