Default FOX Site Updated with Frog & Flower. Hmm..

FOX have updated their Fringe site, which now includes images of a Frog and a Flower (not to mention some small icons underneath the images):

When you click on the image, it takes you to the video of JJ Abrams talking about Fringe.

When you click on this image, it takes you to the official Fringe Facebook page.

The other images can be found here.

I'm intriuged about the symbol that is on the back of the frog. I know i've seenit somewhere but I can't for the life of me remember where, or what it's called!

Also, does anyone knows what type of flower that is? It's a spring flower of somesort, right?

The flies wing replacing one of the petals is quite disturbing..obviously following the pattern of the 6 fingered hand poster.

Is science making evolutionary jumps possible?

Aha!

After a bit of research I managed to find out that the flower in the picture is a daisy, and this links directly into the Fibonacci sequence:

Quote:
In the nineteenth century Fibonacci numbers were discovered in many natural forms. For example, many types of flower have a Fibonacci number of petals: daisies tend to have 34 or 55 petals, while sunflowers have 89 or, in some cases, 144. The seeds of sunflowers spiral outward both to the left and the right in a Fibonacci number of spirals. Similarly, the whorls on a pine cone, the numbers of rings on the trunks of palm trees, the patterns of snail shells, and the genealogy of the male bee all follow a sequence of Fibonacci numbers. The arrangement of plant leaves, or phyllotaxis, unfolds to the same pattern because this results in an optimal solution in terms of the spacing of the leaves or the amount of light that can reach them. A familiar spiral form, known as the logarithmic spiral, emerges when seeds on a plant grow and space themselves according the Fibonacci sequence. The logarithmic spiral is approximated by the rule: start at the origin of the Cartesian coordinate system, move F(1) units to the right, move F(2) units up, move F(3) units to the left, move F(4) units down, move F(5) units to the right, and so on. By growing in this way, on structures as such sunflowers, pine cones, and pineapples, seeds are able to pack themselves together most efficiently.
Source

This also helps us to place the 'wing' that we see in place of one of the flowers petals..it's surely a bees wing, as the above article also highlights the genealogy of male bees follow the fibonnaci sequence of numbers.

From this I deduce that the "PATTERN" is indeed a take on the Fibonacci Sequence of numbers and it's relationship with evolution!

The symbol on the back of the frog is the greek symbol for Phi or the letter "F". The symbols at the bottom of the page are braille numbers that translate to the numbers 5,8,13,21,34... very obviously fibonnacci.

Phi refers to the golden ration 1 : 1.6180339887 or 1:1.618 for short... Flight 618... come on Abrams, lol... thought we would have learned from Lost by now.

as another note... your earlier reply would explain why the braille symbol for 34 is highlighted in the daisy poster, seeing as how daisy's tend to have 34 or 55 petals... 55 being the next number in the fib serios. I should take a look at the other posters, see what I can find out.

Good spot, Abrams has really planted some seeds hasn't he. I'm thinking, how much relation does phi have to the "divine proportion"?

The yellow "highlighted" braille on the ram poster could also read ADD or 144 in braille.

The yellow braille in the frog poster could also read BA or 21.

The yello braille in the flower poster could also read CD or 34.

Is this of any signifigance to anyone? Why are these in yellow?

Those were highlighted in the screencaps. The mouse was hovering.

The selected petal on the other hand is a bee wing I believe.
