Default Interview with John Noble on InnerSPACE

Space is a Canadian sci-fi network. They are currently running episodes of Fringe just after broadcast. I happened to have the channel on yesterday morning, and I caught their rerun of Jacksonville. Afterward the show InnerSPACE started, which is sort of a news show discussing the latest in sci-fi movies and TV shows, and they had an interview with John Noble, who plays Walter, discussing Jacksonville, and what's coming up.

I didn't think to Tivo the show so I could transcribe it, but the gist of it is this...

SPOILERS FOLLOW

Leonard Nimoy is signed to be back as William Bell, so the rest of this season is probably dealing with that. There was some discussion and implication that Walter meeting Alter Walter may be coming in Season 3. John Noble said that Walter is a different man now, and that he looks back on the Jacksonville trials with shame and revulsion, and that he is a different man now. He also said though that there was a reason compelling Walter into doing the things that he did, and we're going to learn more about that. (They openly discussed Peter being from the AU, so I don't think that's all of it.)

Noble said that he thinks Walter and Olivia's relationship will make it through this, and that he really enjoys the relationship that their characters have. He also said that the war was caused because of what Walter did-- taking Peter from the AU. There was also some talk about how Walter is using food to regain his memories, since taste and smell are linked to memory.

I think that was pretty much it. It was a good interview, especially since I caught it totally by surprise. I wasn't even aware Space was doing doing replays of the episodes, much less that there was an interview with John Noble right after the episodes. The things you find when you channel surf...

Walter should have a a more valid explanation for what he has done to his son. Maybe there’s another important reason for which walter abducted Peter2. But this reason must be very important to not tell peter the truth about his origins....mmm...

Man, I love Innerspace!

Anyway, that's a nice little interview, with some bite-sized tidbits to help us cope with Fringe withdrawal.

That spoiler was like a slap in the face, and a bottle of water after a long desert journey trek. More bell & walter, more walternate, more backstory. Ahhh.

That interview with John Noble seems to be back from February, though, and mostly deals with stuff that unfolded during the last part of Season 2. Nothing much pertaining to Season 3 that I can see in there (the reference to Nimoy returning seems to be about the rest of Season 2, not season 3.)

This is a very old post from the middle of Season 2, talking about how Nimoy was contracted to return as Bell later on in that season. It's not talking about Nimoy in S3 at all.
