Talking Fox Picks Up Fringe for Full Season - 22 Episodes!!!

Great news Fringies! Fox has given Fringe a full season - 9 additional episodes have been ordered, that's on top of the original 13, which means we're going to have a full 22 episode season!:

Quote:
LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Fox has picked up a full-season order of J.J. Abrams' sci-fi thriller "Fringe."
"Fringe" stars Anna Torv, Joshua Jackson and John Noble as investigators of paranormal crimes. The network has ordered an additional nine episodes of the Tuesday night drama, which should come as no surprise to those following its ratings performance.
After an OK two-hour premiere August 26, the show jumped significantly in Week 2 when paired with Fox's top-rated drama, "House." Both shows took a hit when competition increased during broadcast premiere week, then demonstrated stability by increasing their audience slightly Tuesday night.
Season to date, "Fringe" has averaged a 4.2 rating/11 share among adults 18-49 and 10.7 million total viewers and ranks as the top freshman series in the adult demographic.
"Fringe" executive producer Abrams, who was a co-creator of "Lost," said that "as with many new series, 'Fringe' is just starting to find its groove. Knowing we'll be around beyond the first thirteen episodes means we'll get to realize the full potential of the show, and for that we are extremely grateful."

Congratulations to everyone at Bad Robot, the people at FOX who have supported the show and all of the fans who are plugged into to this excellent adventure! Here's to many more episodes beyond the 22!

Great! I can't wait at all!

Two weeks until the next episode? Blasphemy! How will I survive without my weekly dose of fringe science.

Oh well, I guess I'll just go back to my pre-Pilot bouts of attempting to mind control my cat.

Let's hope I'll get some results this time.

Where there's a Walter, there's a way!

The 2 week break sucks, but it will be a good chance for me to go back over the old episodes, whilst looking forward to an incredible full season!

Just had a thought - does this mean Fringe will overlap into LOST Season 5 territory!? If so, my brain is going to be severely tested with both JJ's and 'Darlton's' imaginings

I saw a future ABC schedule (cant confirm if it's accurate) and it had Lost listed in 2009 in a 10pm EST timeslot. Which means, if true, there'll be no conflicts with Fox programming of any sort. I cant remember which day though. If it airs the same day as Fringe it would be an awesome TV night for me and JJ's Abrams people!

Thanks for the confirmation LovinSha - it's great that won't be any time conflicts, although I'm not sure my brain could take a week of LOST and Fringe episodes!

Actually, what am I complaining about - usually there's nothing good on TV, so weeks filled with LOST and Fringe episodes are a very good thing

That's great! And already I'm having fringe withdrawls...a whole TWO WEEKS without it...

I was so happy to hear this! I've been so worried that this show wasn't doing good, and knowing Fox would probably cancel it, but this is wonderful news!

So glad it was picked up and that we'll get the chance to see the show grow.

Just out of curiousity, does anyone know what episode # they're currently filming?
