Default Fringemunks: Epis. 1.04 - The Arrival

EPISODE 1.04: THE ARRIVAL - The Fringemunks
Parody of "Gold Digger" by Kanye West
Parody Lyrics
and All Instruments by David Wu a.k.a. The Marked Mouse
Listen/Download at http://davidwumusic.com/fringemunks

Vibrates at 2 and 4 M-H-z's
Yeah, radiating frequencies
Oh it's a hole digger
Way underground
That digs on deep

(Vibrates at 2 and...)
Now I'm sayin' it's a hole digger (...4 M-H-z's)
The dark heavy bullet-shaped figure (Vibrates at 2 and...)
Now I'm sayin' it's a hole digger (... 4 M-H-z's)
The dark heavy bullet-shaped figure (I gotta leave)
Go beacon, go head get down (I gotta leave)
Go beacon, go head blast down (I gotta leave)
Go beacon, go head get down (I gotta leave)
Go beacon, go head (yeah)

Cylinder beacon
Blew a gas main, Brooklyn
It was pure iridium
We don't know where from
I asked Walter what it is
Why are you keepin' mum
Then I told Olivia
Yo this is the last one, then I'm gone
I'm not having too much fun - dontcha notice?
I don't do well staying in one place - you know this!
Big Eddie's after me - staying here is attrocious
And Walter says my ideas are absorbed through osmosis!
OK, took the capsule to test it in the lab
Walter said "it's called 'sound,'" like I don't have vocab
He stuck a needle into Astrid when I went to get foil
I woke Astrid up, and got yelled at by Broyles - don't know why!
Questioned Walter in that FBI place
Couldn't help but shake my head when I looked at his face
He called me small-minded, then insulted my mom
I don't care what none of y'all say - I'm gone!

17 years, 17 years
He was in the institution for 17 years
Sometimes I feel cursed for being his only kid
He lectures me at night when he's buck naked
I am the babysitter, he's the baby with the rattle
I can't get to sleep, and that's not the full battle
He obsesses over root beer floats, I must tattle
These Pattern assignments, I don't like them at all
I'm tired of the lab with the scent of fine cattle
Where I was attacked by John Mosley of Seattle (Seattle, Seattle)
And this Mosley punk, holla'd
Where's the cylinder, WHERE'S THE CYLINDER? YEAH!
It seems that I somehow knew
But that can't be right, thought I had no clue
The wires inserted up my nostrils too far
If an actor played my part, send him straight to the E.R.

Now there's a creepy bald guy and he truly intrigues
And this CBG be giving me the hee bee gee bees
He goes out to eat and he will pay a full 20
Give 11 jalapenos to the Observer, please
And the waitresses can't help but reckon
He eats a full burger in 3.1 seconds
He got no taste buds, baby, look in his eyes
No tears - Tabasco be drownin' his fries!
Got no hair, no beard
Got no eyebrows, and yeah that's weird
Walter says this dude saved my life years ago, but take care hun
He'll read all your thoughts, and knock you out with a stun gun

Go beacon, go head get down (now I can't leave)
Go beacon, go head blast down (now I can't leave)
Go beacon, go head get down (now I can't leave)
Go beacon, go head (yeah)

Departure on schedule...

I normally don't like rap at all, but you just made a masterpiece.

Wonderful work. Any idea what kind of song you'll do next?

Thanks for the encouragement! I have a general idea of the types of songs I want to eventually incorporate, and my goal is to "pull the rug out from underneath the audience."

Be that as it may, expect to see:

- more parodies from the musical spectrum
- perhaps a few interesting medleys here and there
- a fitting song for the season finale (Episode 1.22) - I already have one picked out

As for the next one (Epis. 1.05 - "Power Hungry"), I've narrowed it down to 2 ideas, and I'll either use one of them OR change my mind and do something totally different depending on what happens in the episode.

Sounds very great indeed.

I have the feeling that you'll outdo yourself with whatever you picked for the finale. Unless, however, the finale ends up being an episode where a virus is turning people into clowns. Or sheep. Or fruit.

Yeah that will be interesting when we get to the episode that has those human embryos growing inside the apples - but you know the Fringemunks: "What do they sing? What don't they sing?"

Thumbs up

This was just FANTASTISC!

My daughter just loves all those songs....

Why don't you use the song that Joseph Meegan was listening to for this ep? What was that song?

Keep up the great work, and I'm sure whatever you'll pick for the next song it'll be GREAT!

Cool! How old is your daughter? Hopefully the "pituitary glands I need" chorus from song #2 wasn't too gruesome for her... Tell her that the Fringemunks - Feebo, Notchy and Pie - all say hi!

The song in the very last episode was "I Can't Fight This Feeling Anymore" (not sure what the exact title is) by REO Speedwagon, and although I won't rule out using a song used in a particular episode, I probably won't use that one for the parody; besides, Feebo and Pie don't want to use that song (haha). Hopefully I'll have a song picked by tomorrow, and recorded by Friday.
